ImgDexter

Description

ImgDexter helps WordPress sites keep new image uploads lighter, cleaner, and easier to review. It works locally inside WordPress, optimizes eligible uploads, converts supported images to WebP, applies practical dimension limits, and records diagnostic results so site owners can understand what happened after each upload.

The Lite edition is designed for site owners who want dependable new-upload optimization without a license key, external media processing service, or complicated setup.

What Lite does

  • Optimizes new supported image uploads automatically.
  • Converts eligible JPG, PNG, GIF, and WebP images to optimized WebP output.
  • Preserves animated GIF files by skipping them.
  • Applies maximum width and height limits when configured.
  • Lets you control WebP quality.
  • Can crop portrait images to a practical ratio when enabled.
  • Skips very small images when optimization is not useful.
  • Keeps recent diagnostic records for processing results.
  • Stores settings, statistics, and diagnostic data locally in WordPress.

Built for practical WordPress media work

ImgDexter Lite focuses on the first step in a healthy media workflow: keeping new uploads optimized from the moment they enter your site. It is intentionally simple, local, and transparent.

For larger libraries, older uploads, professional media review, cleanup decisions, controlled batch processing, deeper diagnostics, commercial updates, and support, ImgDexter Pro extends the workflow beyond Lite.

Lite and Pro

ImgDexter Lite:

  • Best for new-upload optimization.
  • Works without a license key.
  • Keeps processing local to your WordPress site.
  • Includes core settings and basic diagnostics.

ImgDexter Pro:

  • Adds existing-library processing.
  • Adds controlled batch workflows for larger sites and stores.
  • Adds professional media review and cleanup guidance.
  • Adds deeper diagnostics and follow-up tools.
  • Adds commercial updates and support through Dall Dexter.

Privacy and processing

ImgDexter Lite processes eligible media locally on your WordPress installation. It does not send your media library or diagnostics to an external optimization service. Upgrade links may open Dall Dexter product pages, but Lite processing itself remains local.

FAQ

Does Lite process existing images already in the Media Library?

No. Lite focuses on new uploads. Existing-library processing is part of ImgDexter Pro.

Does Lite require a license key?

No. Lite works without a license key.

Which image types can Lite process?

Lite checks common WordPress image uploads including JPG, PNG, GIF, and WebP. Animated GIF files are skipped to preserve animation.

Does Lite delete my original media library?

Lite processes eligible new uploads and updates WordPress attachment metadata for the optimized result. It does not include Pro cleanup tools or media review deletion actions.

Does ImgDexter Lite send my media or site data to an external service?

No. Lite processes eligible new uploads on your WordPress site and stores its settings, simple statistics, and diagnostic records locally in your WordPress database. Upgrade buttons may open the ImgDexter product page, but Lite does not send your media library or diagnostics to an external service.

Why do I see Pro previews in the admin screen?

The Lite interface shows locked previews of Pro workflows so site owners can understand what is available in the paid edition. Those Pro workflows are not active in Lite.

Can I use Lite and Pro at the same time?

No. Lite and Pro should not run together. If ImgDexter Pro is active, Lite stays unloaded to avoid duplicate processing classes and conflicting workflows.

Is ImgDexter ready for WordPress 7.1?

Yes. ImgDexter Lite has been checked with WordPress 7.1 RC and its new-upload optimization workflow was verified with a real media upload test.

What is removed when I uninstall Lite?

Uninstalling Lite removes its saved settings, Lite statistics, recent diagnostic records, temporary processing locks, and Lite-specific metadata. It does not delete your media library files.
